On this International Women's Day, and in celebrating the Triple Goddess, we are celebrating the Crone!
The Crone celebrates a heightened maternal instinct, a heightened intuition, heightened wisdom, the beauty of knowing she has been true to her values, at peace with passing on her knowledge about her Craft, and having the comfort and strength knowing she has done all she can do for her family and friends with no regrets; the Crone has given unconditionally, and passed on what she has learned from generations before her.
While the Crone is experiencing this part of life, she is also experiencing what true acceptance feels like.
The Crone is in her "grounding" stage; a stage which begins to teach her that to be grounded in life means to be in a stage of feeling complete. Like Mother Earth, she has seen it all, she has been through it all, and she has embraced it all without giving up.
The Crone embraces this stage not with fear, but instead with comfort. Her new strength is heightened to a place she did not think existed, as it isn't so much about physical strength, but more so about the strength in accepting what she cannot change, but yet she knew was there waiting for her - the truth of life.
As with the Maiden and the Mother, this stage will not only truly show the Crone the way, but will show it to her with peace that by staying true to herself, this has given her, her heart and soul which will now one day, become her legacy.
On this International Women's Day, we celebrate the Crone!
